Students say that I have a lot of high energy, I talk fast, I'm pretty engaging. I always make them answer questions. I think I talk a lot. They know these characteristics of me, but they know my expectation of, when I walk into a room, they're going to be focused on the task at hand.
I don't like a lot of off-task behaviors, but I do have them process and talk, and communicate, and work together. And although my expectation is a lot of mutual respect and a lot of accountability, I promise we're going to have fun, and I promise I'm going to explain the heck out of concepts in a way that, if you don't get it from me, I'll call up some student who can explain it better than me, or I'll show you multiple ways.
